Tae Kwon, was born in Busan, South Korea. He immigrated to USA as a child to Iowa. Tae studied at Iowa State University and Parson's School of Design. After finishing college with BFA in Mixed Media Studies Tae moved to New York City and became a resident for 20 years. During that time he full-timed with master lighting portrait photographer, Michael O'Neill. He then moved on to become full-time 1st Assistant to world renown photographer, Patrick Demarchelier. Tae freelanced for many talented photographers including Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Stephane Sednoui, Mary Ellen Mark, Nick Knight, Fabien Baron, Thierry Le Goues, Hedi Slimane. Tae has also collaborated with great portrait photographer, Brigitte Lacombe as a Lighting Tech and Videographer. Tae is currently based in Los Angeles.
